Gasly pleased with 10th in ‘intense’ Belgian GP
Pierre Gasly secured a crucial point for Alpine at the Belgian Grand Prix, finishing 10th in a challenging race marked by mixed conditions. Rising from 13th on the grid, Gasly showcased strong wet-weather prowess and praised the team's strategic calls, particularly an early pit for dry tires, which helped him leapfrog rivals. He successfully defended against Yuki Tsunoda and Oliver Bearman in the closing stages. Meanwhile, teammate Franco Colapinto endured a tougher afternoon, finishing 19th and remaining scoreless this season. Gasly also reflected on the emotional significance of Spa, paying tribute to his late friend Anthoine Hubert. Despite Gasly's point, Alpine continues to struggle at the bottom of the Championship standings.
