Hadjar insists Red Bull don’t have ‘the fastest car’
Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar has insisted that his team does not possess the fastest car on the grid, despite teammate Max Verstappen claiming victories in Malaysia and Singapore. Hadjar argued that Verstappen's success was driven by his exceptional qualifying performance and tactical execution rather than pure car superiority, suggesting that Ferrari actually fielded the quickest package in Singapore.
Reflecting on his own weekend in Singapore, Hadjar dismissed the persistent technical issues and power unit changes that forced him to start from the pit lane before fighting back to finish tenth. Looking ahead to the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas, the French driver expressed confidence in the team's ongoing development while acknowledging their remaining weaknesses.
Meanwhile, McLaren's Oscar Piastri weighed in on the competitive hierarchy, noting that Red Bull made a significant leap forward with their recent upgrades introduced in Baku. Piastri also highlighted Ferrari's continued strength in cornering performance, concluding that both Red Bull and Ferrari currently hold an advantage over McLaren in overall consistency.
