Norris vows his pace ‘was easily good enough’ for Spa podium

Despite finishing P7, Norris noted that the car’s pace was strong enough to contend for a top-three spot, though he remained cautious about the team's standing, noting they remain behind Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull. Looking ahead, he emphasized the importance of upcoming car upgrades in Hungary. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri reflected on his own challenging race, which was hampered by contact with Charles Leclerc that caused car damage and hindered his performance. Piastri echoed Norris’s sentiments regarding the team’s current performance gap, expressing hope that planned upgrades for the next race will help McLaren close the distance to the front-runners.
