What tyres will the drivers have for the Hungarian GP?
Pirelli has confirmed the tyre compounds for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the final race before F1's summer break. At the Hungaroring, teams will receive the C3, C4, and C5 compounds – a softer choice than at the previous Belgian GP. This allocation provides two sets of hard (white), three medium (yellow), and eight soft (red) tyres, plus intermediates and full wets. Q3 qualifiers get an extra soft set. Pirelli opted against the C6, deeming it too extreme for a track known for high thermal degradation due to short laps and typical high temperatures, reaching 58.6C last year. Two-stop strategies were common in 2024.
