What tyres will the teams and drivers have for Monaco?
Pirelli has announced the tyre compounds for the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix, opting for the softest range in its 2026 selection: C3 (Hard), C4 (Medium), and C5 (Soft). Teams will be provided with two sets of hards, three sets of mediums, and eight sets of softs. An additional set of softs will be available for drivers who reach Q3, while the standard requirement remains to use at least two different slick compounds during a dry race.
The Monaco circuit presents unique technical challenges, characterized by extremely narrow streets and a lack of run-off areas, necessitating maximum aerodynamic downforce. Pirelli notes that the low-degradation nature of the track typically leads to a one-stop strategy, unlike last year's experimental multi-stop mandate. Teams must remain vigilant regarding race neutralizations and red flags, which are common at this historic venue and frequently dictate strategic outcomes.
