‘Who am I without racing?’ – Fewtrell on work with Quadrant
Max Fewtrell, a former racer and current Managing Partner of the motorsport brand Quadrant, shares his journey of transitioning from chasing a Formula 1 career to finding a new purpose off the track. After leaving Formula 3 in 2020, Fewtrell struggled to define his identity outside of racing, eventually finding fulfillment by building the Quadrant community alongside his best friend and 2025 World Champion, Lando Norris.
Quadrant has evolved into more than just a content hub, with Fewtrell leading the business and bridging the gap between Norris's Formula 1 commitments and the brand's growth. By involving other drivers such as Carlos Sainz, Oliver Bearman, Gabriel Bortoleto, and Alexander Albon, the platform has successfully expanded its appeal to a broader base of motorsport fans.
Moving beyond digital content, Fewtrell is now focusing on physical events to foster a genuine community, including hosting live race watch-alongs at locations like London’s F1 Arcade. While he admits to missing the thrill of the cockpit and still harbors dreams of racing at Le Mans or Daytona, Fewtrell is at peace with his transition, focusing on the success of his business and maintaining his lifelong friendship with Norris.
