Piastri charges to dominant Sprint victory in Qatar

Oscar Piastri dominated the Qatar Sprint, securing a commanding victory over George Russell and Lando Norris. Starting from pole, Piastri led confidently throughout the 19-lap race, managing his tyres expertly. Russell held off Norris for second, while championship contender Max Verstappen battled persistent porpoising, finishing fourth after Kimi Antonelli's five-second penalty for track limits dropped him to sixth. Yuki Tsunoda, despite a similar penalty, retained fifth place. Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz completed the points scorers in a strategic race where tyre degradation and track limits proved crucial. Lewis Hamilton had a challenging day, starting from the pit lane and finishing P17. Piastri expressed satisfaction with his performance, looking to maintain momentum.
