F1 returns to Turkey's Istanbul Park from 2027

Formula 1 has officially announced the return of the Turkish Grand Prix to the racing calendar, starting in 2027 and running through the 2031 season. The five-year agreement with Turkey's Ministry of Youth and Sports will see races held at the iconic Istanbul Park, a venue last featured in the championship in 2021. Known for its technical difficulty and dramatic elevation changes, Istanbul Park is highly regarded by drivers and fans, particularly for its famous multi-apex Turn 8. F1 leadership, including CEO Stefano Domenicali and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, expressed enthusiasm for returning to the circuit, which serves as a cultural bridge between Europe and Asia and boasts a massive, growing local fanbase.
