Horner responds over Verstappen Mercedes ‘conversations’
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has dismissed reports linking Max Verstappen with a move to Mercedes as "a lot of noise." The speculation intensified amid discussions over George Russell's contract, which expires at the end of 2025.
Horner firmly stated that Verstappen is under contract until 2028 and that the team pays little attention to such "entirely speculative" chatter. Both Verstappen and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff also downplayed the rumors, with Wolff affirming his desire to continue with Russell while acknowledging the start of "silly season" and necessary conversations.
