‘I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere’ – Russell
George Russell has addressed speculation surrounding his Mercedes contract, confidently stating he believes the chances of him leaving the team next season are "exceptionally low."
Despite his current deal running until 2025 and Mercedes' reported talks with Max Verstappen, Russell insists his loyalty remains firmly with the Silver Arrows and he is not engaging with other teams.
The British driver, ahead of his home Grand Prix, emphasized his focus is purely on performance. He expressed confidence in his proven abilities and Mercedes' reciprocal loyalty, hinting that a resolution to his contract situation, managed by the team, might come within the "next couple of weeks," potentially before the summer break.
