Kimi Antonelli secured his first-ever pole position at the Chinese Grand Prix, becoming the youngest pole-sitter in F1 history. He outperformed his Mercedes teammate George Russell by 0.222s, despite Russell's Q3 technical issues. Lewis Hamilton took third for Ferrari, closely followed by teammate Charles Leclerc. The McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris rounded out the top six at the Shanghai International Circuit.
