Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc capitalized on the chaos to climb into third position. The race was marred by technical woes, as both McLaren drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, failed to take the start due to mechanical issues. They were joined on the sidelines by Audi’s Gabriel Bortoleto and Williams’ Alex Albon, who were also forced to retire before the race could properly begin.
