Watch the Chinese GP start as Hamilton takes the lead
Lewis Hamilton delivered a stunning start at the Chinese Grand Prix, vaulting from third on the grid to seize the lead from pole-sitter Kimi Antonelli as the race got underway. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc capitalized on the chaos to climb into third position.
The race was marred by technical woes, as both McLaren drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, failed to take the start due to mechanical issues. They were joined on the sidelines by Audi’s Gabriel Bortoleto and Williams’ Alex Albon, who were also forced to retire before the race could properly begin.
