Kimi Antonelli claimed his first-ever F1 victory at the Chinese Grand Prix, converting his pole position into a win for Mercedes. Despite being overtaken by Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton at the start, Antonelli regained the lead and held it to take the checkered flag.
Mercedes secured a 1-2 finish as George Russell followed in second, while Hamilton took third for his first podium in Ferrari colors. Charles Leclerc finished fourth for Ferrari, followed by Haas driver Oliver Bearman and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly. The race saw disappointment for McLaren, as both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri retired before the start due to technical issues.
