Honda’s updated power unit debuts in Aston Martin filming day
Aston Martin and Honda are pushing forward with significant performance updates. Following a major chassis upgrade to the AMR26, which featured 16 developments and led to a Q2 appearance for Fernando Alonso, Honda is preparing to introduce a new-specification power unit. This engine successfully completed its track debut during a recent filming day in Hungary.
Mike Krack, Aston Martin’s Chief Trackside Officer, highlighted the strengthened collaboration between the team and Honda, noting that overcoming the challenges of the early 2026 season has built a more mature and professional relationship. The team aims to utilize the data collected in Hungary to return to competitiveness starting at the Dutch Grand Prix.
