WATCH: Bearman suffers dramatic crash in Japan
Oliver Bearman's Japanese Grand Prix ended prematurely following a heavy 50G collision. The Haas driver attempted an overtake on Alpine's Franco Colapinto heading into the Spoon curve, but the move resulted in a significant crash after Bearman was forced onto the grass to avoid a sudden change in Colapinto's racing line.
The impact sent debris across the track and necessitated an immediate Safety Car deployment. Fortunately, subsequent medical examinations at the circuit's Medical Centre confirmed that Bearman sustained no fractures despite the intensity of the crash.
