Antonelli pleased with point after ‘tough’ Hungarian GP
Mercedes rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli secured a hard-fought point at the Hungarian Grand Prix, finishing 10th despite a challenging weekend. After a qualifying mistake dropped him to P15, Antonelli executed a remarkable one-stop strategy, making his hard tyres last nearly 50 laps.
He showed maturity and resilience, defending against faster cars to secure his first European season point. This result, coupled with a recent change back to an older rear suspension, has significantly boosted Antonelli's confidence in the car. Team boss Toto Wolff praised his development, highlighting the importance of this point for both Antonelli and Mercedes' push in the Constructors' Championship.
