Lando Norris claimed a "great result" by securing pole position for the Sao Paulo Sprint, despite admitting the session was "a little bit tougher" and he felt less comfortable than in Mexico. The McLaren driver, who edged out teammate Oscar Piastri during Friday's practice, delivered a strong 1m 09.243s lap in SQ3, putting him 0.097s ahead of Mercedes' Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
