Allan McNish announced as Racing Director at Audi

Audi F1 has appointed Allan McNish as the new Racing Director, a move aimed at strengthening the team's trackside operations. McNish, a former F1 driver and longtime Audi figure, will report to CEO and Team Principal Mattia Binotto starting from the Miami Grand Prix. He will oversee sporting matters, engineering coordination, driver management, and race strategy, while continuing his role with the Driver Development Programme. This decision follows the departure of former Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley. By delegating trackside leadership to McNish, Binotto will be able to dedicate more time to the development of Audi's chassis and power unit factories, as the team continues to build its foundation for long-term success in Formula 1.
