Alonso delighted with 'very good race' for Aston Martin in Singapore

Despite a slow pit stop, Fernando Alonso showcased strong pace in Singapore, securing an impressive seventh-place finish for Aston Martin. Starting 10th, Alonso utilized Pirelli's Soft tyres to gain two positions early on and maintained a gap to Isack Hadjar. Although a sluggish pit stop temporarily dropped him behind Hadjar, Alonso quickly recovered, overtaking his rival and closing in on Lewis Hamilton, who was grappling with brake issues. This result marked Alonso's seventh points finish in the last 10 Grands Prix, elevating him to 11th in the Drivers' Championship. Meanwhile, his teammate Lance Stroll finished 13th, underscoring the difficulty of overtaking on the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
