Bearman reacts to 50G crash during Japanese Grand Prix

Haas driver Oliver Bearman was involved in a massive 50G crash during the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. While avoiding Franco Colapinto’s Alpine, Bearman lost control and hit the barriers at the Spoon Curve. Fortunately, he was cleared by the medical team and confirmed he is physically fine, despite apologizing to his team for the extensive damage to his car. Bearman attributed the crash to the extremely high speed deltas introduced by the 2026 regulations, a concern he and other drivers previously raised with the FIA. In response to the incident, the FIA announced that a structured review of the new regulations, particularly regarding energy management, is scheduled for April to determine if any refinements are necessary to improve safety.
