Logan Sargeant confirmed as Ford WEC Hypercar driver

Former Williams F1 driver Logan Sargeant has confirmed his move to the World Endurance Championship, set to compete for Ford in the 2027 Hypercar class. This significant career step comes nearly 18 months after his exit from the Williams team, where he participated in 36 Grands Prix between 2023 and 2024. Sargeant, 25, will join Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx as part of Ford's highly anticipated return to endurance racing. Dan Sayers, Ford Racing Hypercar Programme Manager, praised Sargeant's "technical sophistication and high-downforce experience," emphasizing the historical resonance of an American driver with Ford at Le Mans. This announcement was made during a Detroit event, which also saw the unveiling of Red Bull and Racing Bulls' 2026 F1 liveries, coinciding with Ford Powertrains' upcoming debut.
