McLaren need to 'step it up as much as possible' – Norris
Defending F1 World Champion Lando Norris has urged McLaren to accelerate their improvements following a challenging start to the 2026 season. After finishing over 50 seconds behind the winner in Australia, Norris admitted the team is currently behind in their understanding of the new power units and that the chassis performance is not yet where they want it to be. While he acknowledged that the deficit in Melbourne looked larger than it actually is, he emphasized that the team is working tirelessly at the McLaren Technology Centre to optimize their package ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix.
