Car 'drastically different' in Monaco Qualifying – Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton secured third place at the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying, finishing behind pole-sitter Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen. Despite a dominant performance during free practice, where Hamilton topped the timesheets in FP2, he struggled to replicate that pace in the final qualifying session, ultimately falling two tenths of a second short of Antonelli's pole lap.
Reflecting on the session, Hamilton expressed confusion regarding the car's sudden performance shift between practice and qualifying despite minimal setup changes. He praised Antonelli for his maiden pole position and remained optimistic about Ferrari's competitive position, noting how narrow the margins were between the top contenders. Hamilton's teammate Charles Leclerc will start from fourth place after a minor incident at his home race.
