Duerksen wins F2 Monza Sprint Race from seventh

Invicta Racing's Joshua Duerksen secured his third Formula 2 Sprint Race victory of the 2026 season at Monza with an impressive drive. Starting seventh, Duerksen quickly climbed to fourth on the opening lap before systematically working his way to the front, utilizing a mid-race Safety Car period to challenge and eventually overtake leader John Bennett using DRS. Despite a late-race Safety Car restart, Duerksen maintained his composure to seal the win, with Bennett finishing second and MP Motorsport’s Oliver Goethe taking third. Meanwhile, in the championship battle, Nikola Tsolov and Alexander Dunne collected valuable points, while key contenders Gabriele Mini and Rafael Camara failed to score, significantly impacting the standings.
