Lawson feels Racing Bulls ‘made a step’ in Austria
Racing Bulls secured another double-points finish at the Austrian Grand Prix, with Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad finishing P9 and P10, respectively. Lawson navigated an early scare regarding smoke in the cockpit, which he later attributed to heavy braking traffic, and he was ultimately cleared of any penalty for a practice start infringement.
Lawson expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress, highlighting a significant improvement in long-run pace compared to previous rounds. Despite being undercut by his teammate, Lindblad remained positive about his performance, noting that the team's recent upgrades have put them in a strong position as they head into his home race at Silverstone. With this result, Racing Bulls have closed the gap to Alpine to just 13 points in the Constructors' Championship.
