Leclerc says Antonelli ‘overly optimistic’ in Dutch GP collision
Charles Leclerc and Andrea Kimi Antonelli have offered their perspectives on the collision that ended Leclerc's Dutch Grand Prix. Leclerc described Antonelli's move as "overly optimistic," lamenting that the incident "cost a lot" after a promising race where Ferrari's pace was strong. Antonelli, who received a 10-second penalty for causing the collision and an additional five for pit lane speeding, expressed regret, saying it was a "shame" as his race had been looking good. He clarified that he didn't feel he "overshot massively," attributing the contact to an unfortunate moment on the banking. Both drivers expressed a desire to move forward from the incident.
