Santander launch global free education campaign inspired by Formula 1

Formula 1’s official retail banking partner, Santander, has launched an inspiring global campaign aimed at making education more visible and accessible worldwide. Utilizing F1’s immense global reach, the initiative champions lifelong learning through the Santander Open Academy, an e-learning platform offering free access to world-class courses, expert content, and financial scholarships from leading universities. The platform caters to individuals at every stage of their life and career, providing opportunities across diverse fields such including technology, languages, business skills, and financial literacy. A highlight of the campaign is the new free online course in High-Performance Leadership, co-created with F1 legend Jenson Button and Claire Williams. This course is designed to equip learners with essential skills in leadership, communication, and decision-making, directly reflecting the high-stakes environment of Formula 1. Ellen Jones, Head of ESG at Formula 1, emphasized that education is the sport's cornerstone, and partners like Santander, who share these values, are crucial in bringing F1-inspired learning to a global community. The campaign is supported by a light-hearted, mockumentary-style film titled 'Life After F1,' starring Button, which humorously introduces audiences to the vast educational opportunities available through the Santander Open Academy. This strategic partnership underscores a shared commitment to empowering individuals through accessible and inspirational educational resources.
