Horner to exit Red Bull with immediate effect
A seismic leadership change has been announced at Red Bull, with long-serving CEO and Team Principal Christian Horner departing Red Bull Racing with immediate effect. Horner, who spearheaded the team for two decades since 2005, was pivotal in transforming them into a dominant championship-winning force in Formula 1. His sudden exit marks a profound managerial reshuffle within the Red Bull F1 empire.
Laurent Mekies, currently the team boss at Racing Bulls, is set to take over Horner's role as CEO of the Red Bull operation. Additionally, Alan Permane, Racing Bulls' Racing Director, will be promoted to Team Principal of Racing Bulls, completing a significant leadership shake-up for the F1 giant.
