Leclerc ‘very happy’ with P3 in Spa Qualifying
Charles Leclerc expressed "great happiness" after securing a surprising third place in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. Despite finishing three-tenths behind the dominant McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, Leclerc didn't anticipate such a strong performance, especially following Ferrari's recent upgrades. He credited a "really good lap" and optimizing the car's setup for his improved pace, positioning him as the best of the rest.
While pleased with qualifying, Leclerc remains cautious about his prospects for Sunday's main race, acknowledging McLaren's superior race pace displayed in the Sprint. He will start one position ahead of Max Verstappen, aiming to maintain his strong form.
