Which rookies are getting FP1 outings in Austria?
The Austrian Grand Prix will feature a significant number of rookie drivers during the first practice session as teams fulfill their mandatory junior driver run obligations. Six teams—Ferrari, Racing Bulls, Haas, Williams, Audi, and Aston Martin—have announced lineup changes for FP1 at the Red Bull Ring.
Dino Beganovic will step into Charles Leclerc's Ferrari, while Ayumu Iwasa is set to drive Liam Lawson's Racing Bulls car. Ryo Hirakawa makes his 2026 debut for Haas in place of Esteban Ocon, and Luke Browning will finally get his opportunity to drive Carlos Sainz's Williams after technical issues in Barcelona. Rounding out the rookie roster, Paul Aron will pilot Gabriel Bortoleto’s Audi, and Jak Crawford will take over Lance Stroll’s Aston Martin for the session.
