Maini takes F2 pole in Budapest with Camara on front row

Kush Maini secured his second pole position of the F2 season at the Hungaroring, clocking a lap time of 1:28.896. Driving for ART Grand Prix, Maini maximized the track conditions on his final attempt to become the only driver to break the 1:29s barrier. Title contender Rafael Camara, representing Invicta Racing, finished in second place after leading for much of the session, falling just over a tenth of a second behind. Campos Racing’s Noel Leon completed the top three, having held a front-row position before Camara’s late improvement. Championship leader Nikola Tsolov ended the session in seventh, while Gabriele Mini, sitting second in the standings, managed ninth. Alexander Dunne qualified in 17th, setting up a challenging weekend ahead of the Sprint and Feature races.
