Norris fends off Piastri for Austrian GP victory
Lando Norris claimed a dominant victory at the Austrian Grand Prix, triumphing over McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in a thrilling head-to-head battle. The race saw an early exit for championship rival Max Verstappen, who collided with rookie Kimi Antonelli.
Norris converted pole position into the lead, fending off multiple challenges from Piastri, who eventually settled for second. Charles Leclerc secured a podium finish for Ferrari, with Lewis Hamilton taking fourth. George Russell finished fifth, while Liam Lawson impressed with a sixth-place finish. Gabriel Bortoleto scored his first F1 points in P8, and Nico Hulkenberg made it a double points finish for Sauber. Esteban Ocon rounded out the top 10 for Haas.
