F1 World Champion Norris revels in ‘special’ McLaren Hypercar run

McLaren’s new MCL-HY prototype made its global public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, featuring a special tribute livery to Bruce McLaren. Driven by F1 star Lando Norris and test driver Grégoire Saucy, the car completed demonstration runs on the famous hillclimb course. Team Principal James Barclay confirmed that the project is ahead of schedule, allowing the car to participate in the event earlier than originally planned. The MCL-HY is currently undergoing intensive track testing in preparation for the manufacturer’s return to top-tier endurance racing, with the team aiming to compete for championship honors starting next season.
