Why Racing Bulls have ‘mixed feelings’ despite double points
Racing Bulls secured a double-points finish at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit, with Liam Lawson finishing eighth and Arvid Lindblad ninth. Despite the result helping them stay in the hunt for fifth in the Constructors' Championship, Team Principal Alan Permane expressed mixed feelings, noting that the team's race pace was not as competitive as anticipated compared to their Alpine rivals.
Permane acknowledged that while the team has made significant progress since Miami, they struggled during the race, particularly after losing out to Alpine’s Pierre Gasly due to a Virtual Safety Car pit stop. Both drivers emphasized the need to review execution errors, though they remain encouraged by the car's performance on a standard high-speed track as they look forward to the upcoming race at the Red Bull Ring.
