Audi announce Driver Development Programme

Audi is set to launch its Driver Development Programme, a significant step as the manufacturer prepares for its inaugural season as a Formula 1 works team. Directed by former F1 driver Allan McNish, the initiative aims to scout and nurture promising young talent from karting and junior categories, offering a clear pathway to motorsport's pinnacle. The comprehensive program will provide world-class training in diverse areas, from on-track performance and engineering to human performance and media relations. McNish's vast experience, including his F1 background and success at Le Mans, will be instrumental. This investment in youth is deemed a crucial pillar of Audi's long-term strategy, reflecting their ambition to build a competitive team and shape their future in Formula 1, following the recent unveiling of their 2026 F1 car, the R26.
