What tyres will the teams and drivers have for the Azerbaijan GP?
Pirelli has announced its tyre compound selection for the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix, opting for the softest trio of its 2025 range to encourage diverse strategies on Baku's ultra-fast street circuit. The C6 will serve as the soft compound, C5 as the medium, and C4 as the hard, a choice aimed at promoting two-stop races, unlike the anticipated one-stop scenarios with last year's compounds. Drivers will receive two sets of hard, three medium, and eight soft tyres, with an additional soft set for Q3 participants. Teams must use at least two different slick compounds during the dry race. Pirelli noted the circuit's low grip, wear, and high vertical loads on tyres due to long straights, emphasizing improved tyre management by teams this season.
