Norris wary of ‘very, very quick’ Ferrari at Silverstone
McLaren's Lando Norris topped Friday practice for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone,
clocking the fastest time in FP2. Despite his strong performance, Norris remains cautious,
emphasizing that there's "nothing to be too proud about just yet" and expects a formidable
challenge from Ferrari. Both Norris and teammate Oscar Piastri highlighted Ferrari's
impressive pace throughout the day, in both qualifying simulations and long runs, predicting
intense competition for pole and victory. Norris, a home favourite, is keenly focused
on securing pole position in front of his dedicated grandstand. While Piastri acknowledged
a 'messy' soft tyre lap, he sees clear potential for McLaren, bracing for a tight battle
against the resurgent Scuderia.
